Paper Cutout Effect
Affinity Designer Video Tutorial
This is another request from a social media site on how to easily create a cutout effect. I did the tutorial in Affinity Designer but it can be easily recreated in Inkscape, CorelDraw or AdobeIllustrator. Affinity Designer has the advantage of inner and outer shadows and easily adjusts shapes even with effects added to them.
It’s easy to play with the angle, distance and intensity settings to get the look you are after. Adjusting the shadows to be stronger on the top right side is just a matter of changing the angle to something closer to 225 degrees.
I hope you find the video helpful and inspiring. I will record a few more short videos on Affinity designer in the coming weeks – if times permits.
