A couple of mini videos I recorded using Affinity Designer
Affinity Designer Mini Video Tutorials
I recorded some more short ‘mini videos’ using Affinity Designer on handy topics with little tips and tricks. A few of them are based on the weekly challenges in the Facebook group ‘Affinity Designer – hands-on’ I run. Others were replies to questions on social media or just ideas I wanted to try. I hope some of this will come in handy.
This is a continuation of the mini tutorials posted earlier and more mini tutorials. I am still at a loss on how to post them on the blog. Sorry about the messy posts. Check them out on my youtube channel.

This mini video tutorial uses the Outer Glow FX and Outer Shadow FX to create some glowy effects. In this video, I use basic shapes, the pen tool, gradients, and fx [mainly outer glow and outer shadow along with Gaussian blur] to create some shiny glowing insects.

In this video, I use letters and three basic shapes [circles, rectangles, and teardrop shapes] to create an illustrated alphabet. Using only simple shapes and five colours [set as Global Colours] you can create rich and interesting designs without the need for drawing, pen, or pencil tool skills. I use the letter D for this video and add a duckling and some waterlilies as decoration.

I hope you enjoy these ‘little videos’. Let me know in the comments what you think of the shorter formats and post questions you might have! As always, your feedback is very important to me!
